Easter is just round the corner!
With Easter fast approaching, I'm sure you're all decorating your houses and some of you might still be looking for ideas as to how to make your home feel that little bit more cosy, joyful and ready for spring. In fact, sometimes less is more and you only truly need just a few little things around the house to make it feel better and look more festive. I am a big fan of simple DYI decorations and natural fabrics, such as linen, when decorating my house and I'd like to share some ideas with you.
A great idea is to always use fresh flowers, if you have any available! Dry flowers also look great, especially in a more rustic country house interior.
Another very simple idea that looks great is to put some eggs in a wire basket or a nice ceramic bowl and place them on a table. It looks very cosy. If you want some extra festive spirit in the house, you can put the eggs you've coloured in the basket.
Grey or white natural linen napkins will make a perfect Easter dining table decoration
For the Easter table, my favourites are grey linen napkins. I love decorating the table with a nicely folded napkin and pussy willow branches - this makes the meal extra special and the dining room looks cosy and warm. Undoubtedly, natural linen napkins in grey are the dinning table staple element and I have a few options available in my shop Pillowlink if you would like to use them for your table.
There is simply nothing else like the slightly rough textured natural linen fabric for a cosy Easter table!
If grey is not your thing, then white linen napkins are a great alternative. They add the extra crisp feel to the table and makes your DYI home decor look a little bit more polished. White natural linen napkins also complement white flowers perfectly and any white tableware you might have. When decorating your home, you are of course the best judge at what goes best with what you already have. Any additional elements and decorations should only add to the existing interior and enhance the atmosphere.
You can go for a white natural linen tablecloth, as seen above, or a bunch of white linen napkins. As with any natural linen napkins or tablecloths, they are very durable and you can use them for any occasion, so they are always a great investment.
Natural linen pillowcases will make your Easter dinner cosy and will add some colour to your interior
And finally, when your Easter table is set and you're about to sit down and enjoy the meal and relax afterwards, you should make sure you have some cosy natural linen pillows on the chairs and sofas.
Not only do they make it much more comfortable to sit and enjoy the meal, they also add to the interior with spots of colour, patterns or intricate prints. Even more, you can just have one of each kind and match them together with table linen and floral arrangements you already made for the table.
I recommend yellow tones together with white and grey, as well as darker brown to balance it out. Have a look at Pillowlink where you can choose from dozens of pillow cover designs to select those who fit your interior best.
And final word of advice - be playful with it and have fun decorating your home:)
